The studio published the set as ZIPNET TAKORADI INTERIORS — 3D VISUALIZATION on 19 May 2011, crediting the design to Pious and the visualization to R.D+V.S, with the pipeline listed as SketchUp for modelling and texturing, V-Ray for lighting and rendering, and Photoshop for textures and post-processing. The client is named only through its own logo, which appears on the reception desk front, on the executive credenza and in the corner tag of every frame.
Four rooms make up the commission, and the six plates are spread unevenly across them. The executive office is shown twice, once against its veneer feature wall and once from the other end where the same dark desk reads against two blinded windows, a low fitted credenza and a lounge corner of caramel leather chair and ottoman dropped onto a square of black carpet. The boardroom is a single view down a glass-topped table of chrome-framed grey leather chairs, and the engineers’ floor is a wide look along runs of desk under a tiled lift-ceiling.
What holds the office together is a single rich material used sparingly. The red-brown striped veneer, cut by metal reveal strips and lifted off the ceiling with cove light, is the statement; everything else is neutral — pale plastered walls, tan tile floors, grey ceilings, dark desks. Zipnet’s own purple then carries through as the accent, on the dividers between the engineers’ desks, on a framed notice board at the end of that room, and most strongly on the reception floor, where a graphic of purple, oxblood and mustard panels runs under a cluster of cylindrical poufs.
The reception is the one space rendered twice, in day and night lighting: a dark veneer desk before a white brick column carrying two clocks under a cove-lit bulkhead, an arched opening at the left looking through striped frosted glass, and a flat screen set into the plaster. Each frame is signed bottom-left with the studio’s the SEED. V.1.1 / 2010 series mark, www.rdvstudiosgh.com and the Revival Design + VFX Studios logo, and tagged bottom-right with the room name and the Zipnet logo. The post also files the set under Maxwell Render alongside V-Ray. The project is on blogspot.
