LINE E FLOAT I is the floating variant of the E line: the whole carcass hangs on the wall rather than standing on it, and the plates give it in both finishes the studio holds for the piece.
The elevation works left to right. An open bay lined in timber turns into a closed compartment behind a sliding panel with a narrow vertical pull slot, then a second open bay, then a rounded return that folds the end of the unit back into the wall. The screen stands on the top between them.
Nine plates and one film: six of the blush unit and three of the white, and a film of the white set. The blush set gives the whole run installed on a blush-and-white wall beside a panel door, the same room seen past a dark foreground column, and four details — the open cubby and sliding front, the rounded return carrying two bottles of wheat, the timber bay with its white objects, and a high three-quarter of the carcass.
The white set is the same console with a wall shelf above it, half open bay and half closed compartment, for books and objects. It is shown dressed with a screen, a media player and discs in the bay, a black faceted vase and a grey sculpture on the top, and a brown sofa across the foreground.
The film is a 37-second animation of the white set. It opens low and canted on the console against a pale wall, the screen standing on the top between its open bays, then swings past a dark chair back to hold the whole room: the console and its shelf on the far wall either side of the screen, a tan sofa in front of them, a dining table with planted trays in the foreground and full-height glazing onto a balcony at the left. It closes on a black card carrying the studio’s mark.
The plates name the two finishes but record no material and no date for the piece. The files carry a 2023 export stamp, which is not a design date.
