MOTY, the Mother of the Year shop, needed a store interior inside Accra Mall that would read as a children’s world at a glance. RDVS. Design took the brief from layout to branding: a small fashion space for kids that parents would find joyful and reassuring, and that would stand out from the mall’s neutral storefronts.
The plan is organized around sculptural white trees: glowing branch columns that act as light fixtures, display structures and wayfinding at once. Curved red display islands, low shelving and open sightlines keep the floor child-scaled, while a teal path and yellow floor pads choreograph movement from the welcome counter to the clothing bays.
The palette is bright and primary: white lacquer, cherry-red fixtures, lemon yellow and teal, warmed by dark wood flooring. Light comes from within the trees themselves and from cove-lit ceilings shaped like drifting clouds, with flocks of white paper birds suspended overhead to keep the eye moving upward.
RDVS. Design delivered the complete interior concept with furniture, graphics and lighting, published as a six-plate visualization set. Views run from the entrance and welcome counter through the mall glazing to close-ups of the illuminated trees, signage and paper bird flocks, presenting the MOTY store as an experience rather than a shop.
The project was published as MOTY — INTERIOR DESIGN + 3D VISUALIZATION — RDVS. DESIGN; the full set is on Behance. The film in the gallery below is the motion piece from that gallery.
