SP001 is furniture design, product visualization and in-house work at once: RDVS designed the pod for the studio’s own MIG line and presented it as a product visualization.
SP001 is the only piece in the line that encloses a person rather than carrying a task. The form is a low pod, and the plates give its size against the body: 1.9 m long, 0.8 m wide, 0.9 m high.
Three plates cover it: the pod lit from above on black, the pod dressed with pillows against a dark green wall, and an exploded assembly view that separates the slatted top from the hardwood frame beside the dimension callout.
The third plate carries the studio’s own line on the piece: “The sleeping pod one (SP001) is thoughtfully designed to help you get that power nap in at work while maintaining some privacy.”
2019 is the date the studio records for SP001. The image files carry a later export stamp, which is not the design date.
