Lamu

Lamu two-tone joinery: the mitred corner where a clear-oak shelf meets a dark walnut end panel, the open compartment behind catching a black leg and a ceiling light.

Bespoke table and architectural joinery collection inspired by East African coastal vernacular craft and proportions.

Named in homage to the historic Swahili architecture and carved timber traditions of Lamu Island, this bespoke table study blends robust monolithic silhouettes with delicate joinery rebates.

Designed by AFK and visualized by RDVS Studios, the piece interrogates tectonic clarity, solid timber stability, and the interaction of natural oil finishes under ambient daylight.
